The very first guitar I designed. I almost retired the Protostar all together but am so glad I brought it back for this special entirely salvaged/scrap native timber build.
This one features a fantastic pair of pickups including a JM shaped Curtis Novak ’63 Mosrite reissue in the neck, and a raw nickel P-90 from Madlove in the bridge. Controlled by my all time favourite knob and 4-way rotary switch (for parallel and series options).
Finished in satin nitro with an Amber/Walnut tint, and paired with a back painted gold pickguard.
Light, resonant and well balanced, I’m super happy with how this one came out. Currently for sale so message me if you want more info or are keen to try it out.
